    In February, 1985, 53 of Canada's top performers (including Carole Pope) gathered to record the song "Tears Are Not Enough," in an effort to generate aid for famine victims in Africa. This film is a behind the scenes look at the recording session. 83 minutes. A VHS (NTSC format) video was also released.
  • 1989 - I'm Not Blind [Canada]
    A music video of the song from the Nothing But A Heartache EP. Released for promotion only.
  • 1993 - Friends of Gilda [Canada]
    Pope is a guest in this Canadian television tribute to the late actress and comedienne Gilda Radner.
  • 1996 - Dangerous Offender: The Marlene Moore Story [Canada]
    Carole appears as a bar patron in this movie produced for Canadian television.
  • 1997 - Love Strikes Hard [US]
    A music video of this song by Carole Pope, which was originally featured in the movie Bound and Gagged: A Love Story, is included in Teasers, a VHS video compilation of lesbian themed short films. [Note: There is also a full-length movie with the same title starring Julie Strain, but it has no relation to this video compilation.]
  • 1997 - Pippi Longstocking [US]
    Carole Pope speaks the role of the Teacher in this feature-length animated film. An VHS home video (NTSC format) was released by Time-Warner Home Video in November, 1997.
  • 1998 - Elimination Dance [Canada]
    In this independent short film, Carole appears as the dance partner of the woman who's urine sample was lost in the mail. Watch it here.
  • 1999 - "Open Mike with Mike Bullard" [Canada]

  • 2005 - "The House of Venus Show" [Canada]
    Originally aired on 12 July 2005, Carole appears as herself in the second episode of this Canadian television series.
  • 2005 - Fag Hags: Women Who Love Gay Men [Canada]
    Carole Pope narrates this documentary about the relationship-rich world of gay men and their female admirers.

  • 1991 - The Adjuster [Canada]
    The song "High School Confidential" (from the album Avoid Freud) is featured on the soundtrack of this film by Atom Egoyan. However, it is not on the soundtrack CD which only features original music composed for Egoyan's films by Mychael Danna. A VHS home video (NTSC format) was released, but is currently out of print.
  • 1992 - The Silencer [US]
    Soundtrack written and performed by Carole Pope for this full-length film. An NTSC format VHS video (Academy Entertainment 1590) was released, but is now out of print.
  • 1993 - Bound and Gagged: A Love Story [US]
    The song "Love Strikes Hard" by Carole Pope is included on the soundtrack of this feature film. A VHS home video (NTSC format) was released, but is currently out of print.
  • 1998 - In Thru The Out Door [Canada]
    The title song and incidental music by Pope were featured in this one-hour show which aired on the CBC in Canada (June 22, 1998) and on the Showtime cable channel in the US (October, 1998). The program was billed as "the world's first openly gay and lesbian sketch comedy show."
  • 1999 - The Five Senses [US]
    The soundtrack features the song "Love Strikes Hard."
  • 1999 - The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human [US]
    A feature film directed by Amy Goldstein. The soundtrack was co-scored by Pope.
  • 1999-2002 - A Repair to Remember [Canada]
    Pope wrote the theme song and score to this series which aired on the WTN Network.

Theatre

  • 1999 - Shaking The Foundations
    A performance piece by Bryden MacDonald celebrating the music of Rough Trade and Carole Pope, it played numerous venues throughout Canada. The entertainment featured singers Gwyneth Baillie, Jane Miller, Tanya Rich, Astrid Van Wieren and Paula Wolfson, accompanied by pianist Holly Arsenault.
  • 2001 - The Vagina Monologues
    Pope made a guest appearance in the Toronto production of Eve Ensler's play at the The New Yorker Theatre.
