Vacuum Tubes (Valves)
All of the tubes of this page have been evaluated with either an Amplitrex AT1000 or a Triplett 3444-A tube analyzer. The Triplett was recently calibrated by Roger Kennedy of alltubetesters.com. Some are NOS, some are used that test new, some are just plain used, but most meet the specs for good or better condition. To aid in your selection, the exact reading is posted along with the reference spec for that particular type.
In some cases (mainly the Telefunkens), the original writing is largely missing and, unless noted, many are packaged in generic white boxes. All of this is mentioned below in the description or notes.
All tubes are guaranteed to be genuine and as described (within reason). If you have an older tube tester that has not been calibrated for 40 years, don't expect to see identical results. Even the readings of tubes that were tested on both the Amplitrex and Triplett analyzers, differed slightly. If a tube arrives DOA, I will take it back for a refund or exchange within 5 days of your receiving it. You can assume that they are all free of shorts and test low for gas, if at all. If you happen to find a short or excessive gas, I'll take those back for a refund or exchange within 5 days, too. In the case of a return, you are responsible for safe packaging and return postage.
I cannot guaranty microphonics or noise level. While the 417A's have been evaluated by ear and the worst offenders removed, the remaining ones may or may not be suitable for your application. If you have any doubts, test them or use them as soon as they arrive! In most cases, where the tubes on hand are listed with specific readings, you can specify those exact pieces. This will allow you to do your own mixing and matching. If you do not ask for a particular tube or ask for close matches, I'll send you be best one(s) on hand.
Prices reflect condition, scarcity, and recent auction sales. Generally, the tubes are priced lower than you'll find them elsewhere. Sale Pending or strike throughs mean that someone has reserved an item, but I have not yet received payment. Since people sometimes change their mind, I'll put you on a waiting list for any of these goods.

The Fine Print:
- There is no minimum purchase required.
- All items are subject to prior sale on a first come, first served basis.
- Before sending any money, to make sure stock is still on hand. I will eMail back with a confirmation that includes total shipping charges.
- Generally, Priority Mail for small orders to US addresses is $7.00, including Delivery Confirmation. Very small orders (one or two tubes) can be sent by 1st Class Mail for $4.00. Actual shipping will be quoted for all other items and to all other countries.
- Delivery confirmation is included to US addresses, but insurance is at your option and for an extra charge. Parcels shipped without insurance are at your own risk! The buyer is also responsible for any customs duty or other fees charged on goods shipped outside of the US.
- Except by prior arrangement, payment must be received within 5 days or items will be returned to stock and made available to the next customer.
- Personal checks are accepted, but goods may be held for up to two weeks until your check clears my bank. There is no extra charge for Canadian cheques drawn in CDN$ on a Canadian bank account at the current exchange rate. I can take PayPal with a 3% surcharge for orders over $50 to cover the extra fee that PayPal charges. In that case, my PayPal ID is the same as . I also accept major credit cards directly through my business, Tempo Electric. Purchases paid by credit card, money order or PayPal usually ship within 2 days.
