Capacitors:

Add 50¢ per capacitor for matched pairs or quads.
Boutique Caps: A number of pairs listed below have an (*) after the quantity. These were broken in and used in a test set-up for evaluation. Rather than solder them in place, I made up a rig using a pair of terminal strips. Leads from the terminal strips were soldered into the circuit and the caps under test were held in place by screws on the terminal strips. While strictly used, they may show minor marks at the ends of the leads and are otherwise in "like new" condition. For logistical reasons, two of the cap pairs (the V-Cap OIMP and the Solen SM) had to have their leads trimmed, but appropriate lengths of silver wire were soldered on to make them useable as new. While most of the prices are 50% off typical retail, a couple of the Mundorf MCap Supremes are priced at OEM net.

Polystyrene:
After Teflon®, polystyrene film is considered to be the best of all dielectrics. Because it's easier to work with, small values that cannot be fabricated with Teflon® film are possible.

Polypropylene:
Due to its high insulating properties and reasonable cost, polypropylene is third on the list of popular dielectrics for audio capacitors. Available in both film-and-foil and metalized film types.

Vintage Oil Caps:
Manufactured from the 1940s through the 1960s by various companies. These are often used as coupling caps in DIY amplifiers or as replacements in modern gear. Many users feel that they impart a smoothness to the music that is unique. Because they've been out of production for so long, I've omitted the "Typical Retail Price" and only listed my sale price. However, they are about 30%-50% less than recent sales on the eBay auction site. Caps with long leads are presumed to be NOS; those with short leads appear to be clean pulls. Unless noted, all are in silver wraps and typically measure 5% lower than their stated value.

- There is no minimum purchase required.
- All items are subject to prior sale on a first come, first served basis.
- Before sending any money,
first to make sure stock is still on hand. I will eMail back with a confirmation that includes total shipping charges.
- Generally, there is a flat US$5.50 charge for packing and shipping resistors and capacitors to US addresses by Priority Mail. Very small orders (one or two caps or resistors) can be sent by 1st Class mail for $3.50. Actual shipping will be quoted for all other items and to all other countries.
- Delivery confirmation is included to US addresses, but insurance is at your option and for an extra charge. Parcels shipped without insurance are at your own risk! The buyer is also responsible for any customs duty or other fees charged on goods shipped outside of the US.
- Except by prior arrangement, payment must be received within 10 days or items will be returned to stock and made available to the next customer.
- Personal checks are accepted, but goods may be held for up to two weeks until your check clears my bank. There is no extra charge for Canadian cheques drawn in CDN$ on a Canadian bank account at the current exchange rate. PayPal is accepted for cash or existing balance transfers only (Sorry, no credit cards). My PayPal ID is the same as . Purchases paid by money order or PayPal will ship within 2 days.
